A joyous festival turned into a nightmare in Manuguru, Bhadradri Kothagudem district. Shiva (28), an interior designer working in Hyderabad, returned home for Rakhi Purnima. He was brutally attacked and beaten to death by around 30 members of the local "MK Gang" after he previously intervened to stop the harassment of a worker's sister. The heart-wrenching visuals of his sister tying her final Rakhi to his lifeless body have left the entire state in shock. Locals demand strict action against the gang's lawlessness.
