The impact of the heavy rains in Hyderabad fell on the historic monument, Charminar. Due to the torrential downpour overnight in the city, a portion of the outer plaster on the Charminar towards the Lad Bazaar side peeled off and fell. This incident caused sudden anxiety among locals and heritage lovers.

According to reports, approximately 37 mm of rainfall was recorded in the city when this incident occurred. However, fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported as no one was present in that area at the time. Upon receiving information about this incident, the concerned authorities and archaeological department officials immediately alerted themselves and inspected the situation.
